Gump founded in 1945 is now the 25th largest law firm in the United States, and Practical Law Company ranks the company among the Global 50 firms. Akin Gump employees relied on the firm's intranet site for everything from human resources information to procedures, guidelines and best practices. It suffered from lack of robust search that was the biggest complaint about old intranet site. Akin Gump deployed Google Search Appliance to make corporate information and documents easily accessible on the firm's revamped intranet. It did a terrific job of ripping right through every ounce of content that had to make it easily accessible to all employees worldwide.
