Overview Munich Re is the world's leading reinsurance company. By definition, insurance is all about risk. Munich Re has devoted countless resources to assess all sorts of risks - from natural catastrophes like earthquakes, windstorms, and floods to manmade disasters like bankruptcy and political unrest. Managing risk means being prepared. To that end, the company undertook an internal project that eventually became known as @lcatraz. The purpose of @lcatraz was to protect company's corporate information against the risks of the newly emerging Internet Age - hacking, identity theft, and information theft.
