Leading Blood Provider Solves Virus Problem at the Gateway
Overview Blood Systems, Inc. (Scottsdale, Arizona) is one of the oldest and largest non-profit blood providers in the United States and an internationally recognized leader in blood transfusion medicine. Blood Systems had a major virus problem that resulted in operational downtime, loss of important data, and diverted IT resources. Worms entered the network and then proceeded to propagate onto the nodes of the network, quickly spreading throughout the organization. The mass-propagating viruses would clog up traffic on the network, slowing down blood banking operations. The viruses would also corrupt computers containing important data. Blood Systems realized they needed a more proactive defense against viruses and other malware. Since deploying the CSG, Blood Systems has solved its virus problem.
