The threats remain, whether such data is stored within a firm's offices, or elsewhere in remotely located data centers managed by a third party services provider like Ramco Systems. However, what causes concern about data security is really the firm's perception about the vulnerability of their data. Firms feel secure about data stored within their own premises seemingly under their control and watchfulness. But, when it comes to data storage elsewhere outside, firms become uneasy. The reason is not difficult to understand.
