Aerospace Manufacturer Reduces Inventory Costs by 30 to 40 Percent with Lean Solution
Category: IT Management, Enterprise Applications
Tags: erp, software, management
Overview Kreisler Industrial supplies the aerospace industry with specialized tubing, primarily for jet engines. The company works with exotic alloys and expensive special materials, requiring complete traceability of all parts and supplies. Using a lean manufacturing process to reduce the cost of raw materials, the company faced challenges because accounting and supply-chain management systems were outdated. To better support lean manufacturing efforts, Kreisler selected Microsoft Dynamics® AX 2009 and the Lean Manufacturing module for Microsoft Dynamics AX. Now, Kreisler expects to reduce its inventory of raw materials by 30 to 40 percent while maintaining the traceability and flexibility that it needs to automate its lean manufacturing processes.
Microsoft Dynamics provides powerful software that helps organizations drive down costs, improve operations, retain and build customer relationships and continue to innovate in challenging economic times.
