Manufacturer Deploys Unified Global Infrastructure: Secure Meters's Messaging Solution Delivers Enterprise-Wide Productivity

Overview Despite a growing numbers of employees traveling around the world, Secure Meters's network architecture did not support efficient global communications. The Senior Manager of IT and Networks at Secure Meters, was aware of the difficulties faced by IT staffers around the world. Problems in controlling user rights to resources on the network, updating personal computers with security updates, and maintaining network and corporate document security were his main concerns. Then the Senior Manger of IT and Networks at Secure Meters, took the first step in addressing these problems by standardizing on the Microsoft Server Product Portfolio. Initially, Lotus Notes was replaced by Windows 2000 Server and gradually migrated from Windows 2000 to Microsoft Exchange Server 2003.
