Overview In addition to ensuring timely report generation, Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services (CPS) has enjoyed a strong growing business, and with the acquisition of several testing companies over the last several years, the company needed to upgrade its existing computer systems to cope with the ever-growing requirements for reliable computing infrastructure. Reliability and stable computing performance was becoming a key issue for the company as it expanded its regional customer base. In early 2000, the company decided to revamp its entire PC infrastructure for its Hong Kong operations and standardize it on one brand that provided the stability and reliability it needed. They chose Compaq as the standard desktop business PCs with the Deskpro 2000.
