Overview iGATE works with its clients to optimize their businesses and secure sustainable year-on-year cost benefits. The company trains its employees on multiple software development tools and applications, in a facility with more than 500 computers, but the IT department had to spend an average of 200 hours to format and reinstall applications for each training session. iGATE identified application virtualization as a possible solution to shrink support time and reduce maintenance costs. The company used Microsoft Virtualization Application (App-V) and the Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack to deliver almost 25 applications to the training desktops from just two servers. With App-V, iGATE created a Dynamic IT environment that cuts the time and effort needed to set up the training infrastructure, significantly reduces support calls, eases maintenance, and makes licensing more effective.
