The City of Arnhem Improves Service With Digital Planning Archive

Overview Municipalities in the Netherlands are facing a variety of challenges. Both the general public and the government are imposing ever greater demands in terms of the speed and quality with which municipalities carry out their duties. Cities are challenged to improve service, reduce administrative burdens, and become more results orientated. In order to meet future information and communication technology requirements in terms of openness, availability, and security, Arnhem, a city of 144,000 located in the east of the country required a robust, flexible ICT architecture. As part of this project, the city worked with Oracle business partner Redora to create an IT architecture that now forms a solid foundation for future service-oriented projects, running Oracle SOA Suite.
