UK Local Authorities Drive National CRM Programme With an IT Investment of Just £7,000
Category: Networking and Communications
Tags: it support, uk, sharepoint, microsoft windows, crm, infrastructure
Overview The National CRM Programme is an e-government initiative helping local authorities across the UK deliver better service to citizens. The London Borough of Tower Hamlets hosts the service, and with the help of Microsoft Gold Partner Silversands, implemented a collaboration tool based on Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services. From here, comprehensive CRM documents are distributed that enable remote users within councils to make more informed decisions. Local authorities using this solution have dramatically reduced their reliance on e-mail and eased the strain on their IT infrastructure, by cutting IT support workloads. The five-member team now deals with the workload for four, freeing up a significant amount of time to focus on more value-added projects.
