Design of a LAN-to-LAN Virtual Private Network Service Based on TINA Concepts
Category: Networking and Communications
Overview Controlling VPN connections in a multi-service environment that offers multiparty and multimedia capabilities is complex, especially when security services are offered on demand to meet particular service requirements. Security services in a VPN involves the establishment of secure channels in a public network like the Internet, over which two or more authorized parties can securely exchange even private and confidential information. This paper presents the design of a VPN service as part of a project to investigate the feasibility of using TINA concepts to control VPN connections in a multiparty service environment. The project involves the design and implementation of an IPsec VPN based on the TINA business model.
