A Three-Stage Load-Balancing Switch

Overview This paper presents a three-stage load-balancing switch without the mis-sequencing problem. Analytical results indicate that this 3SLB switch is able to guarantee 100% throughput as an ideal OQ switch plus a bounded delay. Moreover, the switch architecture naturally minimizes the blocking problem without any scheduling computation. There is no speedup in the switching fabrics, e.g. the maximum link speed is R for all internal fabric links.
