Understanding CSM Load Balancing Algorithms

Overview The Cisco Content Switching Module (CSM) adds advanced layer 4 to layer 7 content switching capabilities to the Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switch or the Cisco 7600 Series Router providing high-performance, feature rich layer 4 to layer 7 load balancing to existing layer 2 and layer 3 features of the Catalyst platforms. The Cisco Content Switching Module (CSM) supports load-balancing algorithms with the predictor command. Issue the predictor command in the Server Load Balancing (SLB) serverfarm configuration submode to specify the load-balancing algorithm for the server farm.
