Testing Wireless PC Cards

Overview This document outlines a suggested procedure for testing the performance of competitive wireless PC cards. There are several factors to consider when testing wireless PC cards, these includes performance, design, operation and technical support. Each of these factors is discussed in this document. Also included is a detailed test procedure for accurately testing the throughput of a wireless device under varying signal strength conditions. After reading this document, you should be able to characterize the throughput of different PC Cards under different signal strength conditions and you should also be able to characterize wireless devices based on the features listed above.
