Akamai Delivers Over 6 Gbps of Live Adobe Flash Video Streaming to 23,000 Simultaneous Viewers for Stickam

Overview Off late, Los Angeles-based radio station KLOS and The Mark & Brian Radio Program ran a contest pair up two strangers who would ultimately wed. The station turned to Stickam for access to two-way live communications enabled by Stickam's rich interactive application powered by Adobe Flash. Unfortunately, as thousands of listeners attempted to access the site to interact with hosts Mark and Brian, Stickam was unable to support the surge in traffic and its servers crashed. The company deployed Akamai Media Delivery which has enabled Stickam to support other major events, so it was an easy decision to engage them to support the KLOS event.
