Technology Company Combines Services to Create Real-Time Sports-Tracking Software

Overview Established in 2005, SportsDo is a technology company based in the United Kingdom. Founders Jonathan Greensted and Nick Francis wanted to create an interactive mobile sports-tracking system, which provides users with real-time activity data - such as location, route, and speed. In 2005, Greensted and Francis created a tracking application for handheld devices running Windows Mobile software. The solution was created using a combination of software and services, including Global Positioning System technology and XML Web services. Greensted says that the company has now achieved a customer-centric, feature-rich product, which supports and enhances training activities.
