Overview Strides in Wireless technology offer new opportunities for advancement in education. Community colleges recognize the need for making wireless networking capabilities available to faculty, staff and students. Wireless computing can increase productivity and efficiency in any community college campus. The key to implementing a successful wireless LAN is preparation. In the community college, many projects are supported by committee who are responsible for decision making. A wireless implementation committee should be formed to discuss issues pertaining to the implementation of the wireless network. Questions should be addressed pertaining to network user policies, size and service area of the network, network management and integration, and data security.
