A ML Based Estimation of the Doppler Shift of MIMO WiMAX Systems
Category: Networking and Communications
Tags: data
Overview WiMAX systems whose data rate can be up to 50 Mbps are the most promised wireless communication systems. However, due to the multipath transmission and Multiple Access Interference (MAI), the performance of the WiMAX system will be degraded. The advanced technique, Multiple Inputs Multiple Outputs (MIMO) is proposed to improve the performance of the WiMAX system. However, the frequency shift caused by the Doppler effect will result in the ICI of the WiMAX and the performance of MIMO will also be degraded. This paper proposes a frequency shift estimation algorithm to estimate and compensate the frequency shift. The simulation results show that the frequency offset and DOAs of the received signals can be estimated.
