The Technion-Israel Institute of Technology Relies on NetApp Storage to Serve a Dynamic Academic Community

Overview Established in 1924, the Technion is Israel's oldest university and top education institute for science and technology. The university wanted to implement a robust storage solution to meet rapidly increasing demand in high-volume NAS and SAN environments. They also wanted to deliver exceptional performance, flexibility, scalability, and availability, as well as support for a future Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) site, while reducing costs. As a solution the company deployed the NetApp cluster FAS3020 system which provides stability and redundancy in dual NAS and SAN environments while providing high performance, scalability, flexibility, self-management, remote system operation, and DRP readiness.
