Lonza Delivers Mission-Critical SAP and Revision-Secure Exchange Archives With Network Appliance
Category: Storage, Data Management, Networking and Communications
Overview Lonza is a biotechnology and chemical company driven by the life sciences. Founded in 1897, Lonza employs 6,300 people and operates 22 production and R&D sites around the world. The company wanted to implement a high-availability storage architecture to support the company's mission-critical SAP system. Also, they wanted to address compliance requirements with revision-secure archiving of Microsoft Exchange data. The solution to this challenge was achieved by deploying NetApp FAS940 MetroCluster systems for SAP and file services, as well as remote-site backup. They used NetApp NearStore systems and NetApp SnapLock software for revision-secure e-mail archive.
