Development of a CDMA2000 (3G1x)-Based Radio Network Controller Node

Overview The company wanted to develop the customer's CDMA2000 (3G1x) RNC product line in joint development partnership with the customer's Indian center and enhance the existing RNC code as well as deliver complex features under stringent time-to-market requirements. The challenge was to enhance the components to improve the performance and stability of the system and to execute unit level and integration testing remotely, using specialized tools. The company made significant modifications in the existing architecture and design of the customer's CDMA2000 (3G1x) RNC. There was re-implementation of critical chain functionality across modules. Visualization, design, and implementation of a simulator for the RNC shelf to improve the productivity of the development team.
