QoS in Mobile Multimedia Networks

Overview Mobility highly affects quality of service in multimedia networks. This applies both to link layer mobility (radio link quality) and to network layer mobility (hand-over, roaming). This paper develops an abstract framework for different architectures of network layer mobility support like Mobile IP, Cellular IP, IPv6, GSM, UMTS etc. and discusses their appropriateness for QoS handling.
