Overview KPL Packaging is an international supplier of paper packaging machinery based in Bologna, Italy. KPL wanted to enhance computer system security and provide its employees with the latest computer technology by upgrading from the Windows XP operating system to the Windows Vista operating system. It was critical for KPL that the upgrade occur in a way that would not compromise the use of its mission-critical business applications. After carefully testing application compatibility and beginning with a small pilot deployment, KPL has now deployed Windows Vista to 30 percent of its workstations, and has already noticed a 25 percent reduction in support required for those computers. In addition, system security has been enhanced, and users have been pleased with both the stability and features of Windows Vista.
