Overview Nashua Mobile has implemented a smart client solution for its retail outlets throughout South Africa. Customers applying for new cellular contracts or upgrades to existing agreements no longer have to wait hours for the process to complete. Despite the limited bandwidth available, Nashua Mobile is now processing applications in real time. The smart client solution was developed by partner Barone, Budge & Dominick (BB&D) using the Microsoft .NET Framework, Microsoft Visual C# .NET 2003, and Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003. Following implementation, subscriber applications take minutes rather than hours to process, upgrade volumes are forecast to double, and maintenance of the retail system is now an automated, online process.
