Feature Comparison of the NXU-2 Vs. NXU-2A

Overview The principal feature of the JPS Communications NXU-2 Network Extension Unit is to provide a means to capture analog audio, used by land mobile radio systems (radio, basestation, dispatch console, etc), and convert that audio to digital datagram, which in turn, can be transported over a TCP/IP network in the form of RoIP (Radio over Internet Protocol) data. The NXU-2 leverages today's flexible and reliable networks and provides a means to extend communications beyond the physical limitation of customary land mobile radio RF propagation characteristics. Not only does the NXU-2 provide RoIP conversion of analog audio, it also provided several elements and features that could be useful in many land mobile radio applications.
