National Lender Improves Collaboration Tools With Integrated Communications Solution

Overview Infonavit is an autonomous government organization that provides home loans for workers in Mexico. Infonavit employees need to collaborate frequently, but some existing communications methods are time-consuming. As a result, the company is implementing a unified communications strategy based on Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007. The company will deliver integrated presence information, e-mail, instant messaging, and conferencing. Next, the company plans to replace its Private Branch Exchange (PBX) system with software-powered Voice over IP (VoIP) communications. Infonavit expects that its employees will recover approximately an hour each day through real-time presence information and improved communications tools. Controlled from the workstation, the new collaboration capabilities will put Infonavit in a better position to meet its institutional goals.
