HP Virtual Connect Technology With Oracle 10g Grid

Overview The HP Solution Alliances Engineering team for Oracle is defining, validating and documenting optimized integrations of HP and Oracle technologies that help address the customer's top IT needs. HP calls these focused offerings - HP Reference Architectures for Oracle. This paper describes the latest proof of concept / design work to come out of this program. Full best practices documentation is planned with the title HP Reference Architecture for Oracle grid on the HP BladeSystem. This paper explores two key administrative scenarios: replacing product servers that are elements of an Oracle grid, and online expansion of an Oracle grid. Integrating HP Virtual Connect technology into this environment will make it easier to respond to changing business needs.
