PeopleSoft Enterprise Payroll 8.9 Using DB2 V9 for z/OS on an IBM z Platform

Overview There were two objectives of this benchmark project. The first was to exercise the DB2 V9 z/OS code with the standard Large Model PeopleSoft Payroll workload. The second objective, which was of high interest to the PeopleSoft Users Group community, was to see how well these batch processes scale on DB2 using an "Extra Large" Model. This paper summarizes the experience and the results of this benchmark.
