Travelex Fuels Business Innovation by Embracing Open, Flexible Technology
Category: Software and Web Development
Tags: revenues, applications
Overview Since its foundation in 1976, London-headquartered Travelex has become one of the biggest names in the global foreign exchange market, with annual revenues of more than £11 billion ($20 billion) and some 6,000 employees spread across 31 countries. Travelex's ability to innovate-the key to its success-was becoming threatened by an increasingly complex and inflexible technology environment. Travelex teamed with IBM and IBM Business Partner Osmosis Integration to create a new, highly open platform on which Travelex developed and integrated its foreign exchange applications.
