Developers Use Security Guidance to Improve Security and Productivity

Overview Microsoft is committed to helping developers improve security in their application design and code to reduce risk. Working with Microsoft Partner Infosys Technologies, Microsoft wrote and tested a set of security-proven practices for designing, developing, and testing to meet the security objectives defined for the application. Infosys, an international leader in consulting and information technology services, uses the guidance in its own technology consulting practice, with great results. On one risk-modeling project, developers reduced the time spent looking for security guidance by at least 40 percent. By using Microsoft security-proven practices, developers are more productive and can better safeguard their applications.
