.NET Framework-Based Software Helps Real Estate Developers Build Affordable Housing

Overview Starta Development provides a Web-based service to help organizations that develop homes for low-income and elderly individuals. The creation of a community demands the management of hundreds of documents from dozens of external organizations. The Starta Enterprise eliminates the need to manually copy and ship documents. Starta built a tiered, object-oriented, distributed system to manage affordable housing developments in Microsoft Visual C# .NET with a SQL Server 2000 database. Starta leveraged several concepts of the eXtreme Programming (XP) model, adapted to its small and unique team, and found that XP works well with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET. Starta released its first module to market in less than seven months with only two developers.
