Israeli Pharmacy Chain Strengthens Customer Relationships With New Sales and HR Portal

Overview With approximately 5,000 employees, Super-Pharm Israel is the leading drugstore chain in Israel. The company decided to improve the connectivity between management and the shopfloor and invested in a centralised information and communications portal that offers sales, promotional, and HR information. Super-Pharm chose Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003 and worked with Microsoft Israel to implement a pilot project involving 10 stores. As a result, Super-Pharm bolstered company morale, improved HR administration, and helped employees share knowledge about new sales and promotions. The company plans to roll out the portal to its other 120 stores by the end of 2007, and the IT department hopes to extend SharePoint Portal Server to other divisions, including marketing and operations.
