Overview Instituto Electoral del Estado de Guanajuato (IEEG) manages representative, governor and municipal elections in the 46 municipalities in Guanajuato. The organization wanted to guarantee reliability and precision in electoral results and candidate registration. The challenge was to integrate a constant flow of information during elections in 800 locations throughout Guanajuato. IEEG implemented Oracle Database Standard Edition to consolidate and integrate information in a single database to streamline the electoral process and improve data accuracy. The organization also deployed Oracle Portal to automate the capture and emission of voter information, as well as the reporting of 48,000 users, through the internet and intranet with Oracle Internet Application Server.
