Podcast-Ready Network Prepares UC Berkeley for Next-Generation Campus

Overview University of California, wanted to prepare the campus for next-generation, multimedia learning and expand reach to enable public access to classroom content. The challenge was to ensure campus network will accommodate increased demand. As a solution the university deployed Podcast Producer to simplify and accelerate podcasting, make educational content available through iTunes U and provision hierarchical network architecture design. This increased podcast production by faculty; enhanced student study time and organization, enabled public access to class-room lectures via podcasts and assured that network is ready for next-generation campus.
