Overview CASON Engineering provides real-time monitoring and communications technology for critical industrial applications. In 2007, G4S, the world's leading security services firm, contracted the company to create a new location-aware monitoring system for the Romanian Post Office, whose mail carriers often make cash deliveries. CASON decided to use this opportunity to upgrade its telemetric offerings with the latest technology from Microsoft. The new solution provides customers with a rich browser-based experience using a software-plus-services approach to application delivery; Microsoft Silverlight, a cross-browser, cross-platform plug-in; and complex location-aware capabilities powered by Microsoft SQL Server 2008. CASON also uses the virtualization capabilities in Windows Server 2008 to simplify customer configurations and increase reliability through clustering.
