Nucleus Research Case Study: SBAB

Overview SBAB is a Sweden-based provider of mortgages to individuals purchasing residential, rental, and vacation properties. In early 2005, SBAB senior management was anticipating significant changes in its operating environment and wanted to make sure that it had the proper information systems in place. SBAB wanted to expand its operations in the European Union, which would require it to create financial statements compliant with IAS (International Accounting Standards.). SBAB looked at a number of different technology solutions, including SAP R/3, SAP NetWeaver, and Microsoft BizTalk server, But selected BEA, purchased and began deploying BEA AquaLogic Service Bus, BEA WebLogic Integration, and BEA WebLogic Server.
