Category: Software and Web Development
Tags: information management, pda, api, java, management
Overview This paper describes the FileConnection API. It also includes a brief description of the example MIDlet that is included in this package and additional details about the API implementation in Nokia devices. The FileConnection API was specified in JSR-75: PDA Optional Packages for the J2ME Platform, which includes two Java 2 Platform, Micro Edition (J2ME) optional packages oriented to support features typical of PDA-like devices. The optional packages give access to personal information management (PIM API) databases and local file systems (FileConnection API).
