Overview Software vendor TimeSpring had the idea that it might be possible to continuously capture the time dimension of a company's data, to make it easy for a company to recover from data loss or corruption and enable offline data processing. TimeSpring considered building a solution on Linux and Oracle, but both market and technical considerations led them to build on Microsoft Windows and SQL Server 2000 in Visual C# and Visual C++, using the .NET Framework and Windows Forms.
