UML Business Modeling Profile
Category: Software and Web Development
Tags: mda, business process
Overview At the time of writing this paper, UML 2.0 has reached its near final status, no significant changes are expected. On the other hand, various aspects of business process modeling have regained their significance for information system design. Especially it is due to clear statement that business process model is the main part of the Computation Independent Model - the first step in Model Driven Architecture (MDA) application. UML 2.0 is supposed to cover all MDA steps. The goal of the paper is to investigate how adequate is the new UML 2.0 for business process modeling, especially from the semantics point of view.
