Overview The Microsoft Assessment and Planning Solution Accelerator (MAP) is a tool that helps make it easy for users to assess their current IT infrastructure to migrate to Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, and Microsoft virtualization technologies. The tool performs three key functions: hardware inventory, compatibility analysis, and readiness assessment reporting that include upgrade candidates, specific hardware upgrade requirements and migration guidance. MAP is an agentless tool that finds computers on a network and performs a detailed inventory of those computers.
