Overview A part of The Thomson Corporation, Thomson Prometric provides academic and professional tests and testing services worldwide. They needed to ensure candidate privacy, test integrity, and confidential interactions. They wanted to conduct registration over the public Internet because it offered the most ubiquitous, cost-effective channel for all of the testing centers worldwide. Finally, they needed to accelerate the integration of new clients and reduce fines incurred for low reservation availability. The company deployed Cisco for its solution. With the ACE XML Gateway, incoming data could be secured and transformed into a consistent format. A "Broker" application would then mediate transactions using the appropriate services.
