Teaching Java: An Eventful Approach
Category: Software and Web Development, IT Management
Tags: java
Overview The purpose of this paper is to provide advice on how to teach the material in the textbook, Java: An Eventful Approach. Because the approach taken in this text is different from that in most other texts, the authors decided it would be useful to share some of the insights that they have gained by teaching this material over the last few years. The authors include a separate discussion of each of the chapters of the text book. In this paper, however, the authors present some of the general principles that lay behind their approach to the material as well as discuss other items related to the way they integrate programming in the course.
