Category: Software and Web Development
Tags: management, applications
Overview Continental Corporation, Ltd. wanted to accelerate design and engineering cycle time for the company's powertrain division products and remain competitive in the automotive industry, which is experiencing declining margins. The challenge was to extend and speed access to computer-aided-design documents for the engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing departments. Continental Corporation implemented Oracle's AutoVue Electro-Mechanical Professional to handle CAD document visualization and enable engineers to view documents outside of native applications as well as integrated AutoVue with Continental's CAD storage repository, engineering change control system, and ENOVIA MatrixOne product lifecycle management system.
