Overview Dr. Jay Pearce has a private practice in a small town on the Texas Gulf Coast. While building a new office adjacent to his home, he realized he was in need of a little extra help. Since his home sits on stilts to keep it above flood level in the event of a hurricane, Pearce had to pay special attention to the home's architectural elements. Pearce needed a way to draw the floor plan layout, and the foundation for the new structure. Pearce never really thought he would give up on ClarisWorks, but Pearce decided to download SmartDraw's free trial. His SmartDraw floor plans help him communicate his ideas better to others, including his plumber.
