Leading Turkish Seismic Research Institution Achieves High Performance With Microsoft Windows HPC Server 2008

Overview Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute, Bogazici University, is providing postgraduate and doctorate education under the Earthquake Engineering, Geophysics and Geodesy departments and encompassing earthquake observation, research and application services within a single, integrated body. The institution is conducting a TUBITAK financed research project on the behavior of structures under explosion loads and protection techniques, using multi-disciplinary simulation methods. The institution chose Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003 as an end-to-end solution with full after-sales support in Turkey, and then migrated to the new Windows HPC Server 2008 version of the product.
