Overview Founded in 1919, the East Dubuque, Illinois-based Crescent Electric Supply Company is now a $600 million business with 114 wholesale locations and some 60,000 customers in 24 states. The company wanted to expand the functionality and enhance the appeal of the company's online ordering system while leveraging existing IT resources. By using Unisys Open Transaction Integrator and Open Distributed Transaction Processing software, Crescent was able to leverage the value stored in its ClearPath Plus Dorado Model 180 Server applications to create a customer-focused, feature-rich Web interface.
