Pitney Bowes Case Study: Aviva Canada Inc.
Category: Professions and Industries, Enterprise Applications
Tags: document management, management
Overview Aviva Canada Inc. is one of the leading property and causality insurance groups in Canada, with annual written premiums of close to $3 billion. To manage the extensive volume of mail and shipments, Aviva Canada was using several different and independent shipping systems, each linked to a different carrier with whom the Company was affiliated. Additionally, the Company used to manually circulate more than 200 inbound mail items and parcels that it received at its head office on a daily basis - without a centralized system that tracks and monitors internal distribution of mail. To improve the flow of mail and monitoring capabilities of shipments, Aviva Canada approached Pitney Bowes, a global leading provider of mailing and document management solutions. Pitney Bowes was mandated to provide Aviva with delivery, tracking and distribution management solutions that would centralize and manage the Company's inbound mail and parcel distribution in the head office.
